I am best described as someone with a quick wit, a gentle heart, and a hearty laugh.   I enjoy my life, and consider myself  an  optimist  (sometimes a blind optimist).   I am a large man with broad shoulders, strong arms and legs, and a barrel chest - something of a bear.   I stand 5'11 and have a deep commanding voice.  As a loving, but very dominant man, I am used to being obeyed.  I passionately love being in charge, making decisions, and do not care to be argued with.  Although I will punish when necessary, I find that positive reinforcement is a much better conditioning method for training purposes.

I have been in the leather lifestyle since 1995, but have been dominant and practicing BDSM activities for most of my adult life.  I can remember as an adolescent boy having erotic fantasies about hypnotizing the girl next door and making her into my sex slave.  Little did I know where that kind of thinking would eventually lead me.  By the time I was 17, I was in a two year loving relationship where my girlfriend and I, through lots of trial and error (and reading The Joy of Sex), learned about  sex, bondage, spanking, perverse kink, and the pleasures of erotic pain and power exchange.  

Looking back, I see now that my girlfriend at the time was very protocol driven.  Unfortunately, it was "Southern Baptist Good Girl Protocol" instead of the "Leather Slave Good Girl Protocol" I so enjoy now.  She had been raised by strict parents to be the perfect southern lady.  Among other things, that meant that she was adamant about being a virgin when she got married.  Although we eventually did just about everything sexual we could think of, the one thing we never did was vaginal intercourse.  Needless to say, I regret never sharing that with her.  However, as a gentleman, I'm proud to say that even at 17, I was mature enough to respect her limits, and to this day, I like to think that my wedding gift to her was her virginity on her wedding night.

In retrospect, perhaps it was a good thing that we had that limitation on our relationship, because it made me be very creative when it came to my sexuality.  Regardless, I credit the experience for giving me a love of adventurous sex play as well as an early education into the principles of power exchange and kink.

As a child, I was quite fortunate to grow up in Alaska with parents that loved the outdoors.  As a result, I have always been very independent and enjoyed outdoor activities.  As an early achiever, I was an excellent student, the head acolyte in our church (where I developed my taste for ritual), and excelled in Scouting.  I loved being in charge, and as I eventually made my way to my Eagle rank, I was given many opportunities to practice foundational leadership skills.  To this day, I am an explorer at heart and love to discover new things and  places.  Most of all, I'm still passionate about being in charge.  

A systems analyst by profession, I have owned my own business since 1985.  I currently specialize in advanced Internet technologies.  Prior to starting my business, I spent a number of years in corporate America, where for about three years, I managed over 125 employees and had two levels of management reporting to me.  Sometimes I wonder if I don't have masochistic tendencies.  Thankfully, my life is much simpler now.

Aside from my work and learning new BDSM techniques and philosophies, my interests include karate, reading, chess, writing, and shooting.  At the end of the day, I enjoy chilling out with my slave enjoying a good movie (romantic comedies and spy thrillers).  I find that the simple pleasures are usually the best.
